Has been a while since I have posted on my blog because during the past two weeks I have been concentrated on my essay. To be honest, I really enjoyed working on it....it has rapresented a sort of "teist" about what is tudying at University level.Furthermore I feel totally fascinated by my subject area, even more than befoure!
However, despite it, I have done also some grammar exercises on the english grammar book that I bought at the beginning of the course; I reviewed the modal verbs, the past-present-future time forms and the cause and effect which are very useful when it comes to write an essay.
Regarding my pronunciation, I think it will takes long time befoure will get better...but I'm working on it: I have bought a very good english language dictionary(OXFORD ADVANCED LEARNER'S DICTIONARY BY OXFORD) which shows not only the meaning of the words but also how to pronunce them correctly,how to understand and used them, synonyms and reference.
The following week is going to be the last week of this prsessional english course.Personally I'm so glad to have attended .It really helped me a lot, great part of the anxietys that I had befoure about return to study after many years are gone.
I'm looking forward to showing my presentation to the rest of the class. I really hope to be successful.....

self study from 25 of August to the 1th of September
Over the past few days I have been very focused on my essay which I will have to sub-mit to Susannah next friday. During this time I realized what a huge topic is globalisation!!!I have been reading a lot of different sources and I really think that will be difficult summarise and analyse the main effects in the right way. I spended a lot of time thinking which one mention before to write my draft last week. This aftertoon I have done the first paragraph about its advantages :
- effect on the economies
-growth of international trade
-development of technology
-globalisation as a "tool" helping to achive social goals.

Today,actually this afternoon,I'm going to read and understand the text "the three rounds of globalization" and I will take a note fom this reading. I will also stretch my vocabulary finding the meaning of new words using the dictionary.

My first week at the LondonMetropolitan University
I feel like last week has been for me the begining of a new life...:
Has been my first week "at school" after almost ten years and has been quite strange and shocking for some ways.
I feel not familiar and confident yet but for sure I fell extremely excited and glad for this choise.
First of all, has been very hard waken up at seven o'clock in the morning when for the past four years ,working at the casino,I usted go to sleep at this time...although,I found since the first day,this course so interesting,well organised and very usefull that I didn't feel sleapy or under concentrate at all.
Thanks also to the charisma of the teachears and to my classmates...maybe because they are younger than me and maybe because most of them they are just arrived in this country I felt myself more relaxed at the first side.
In addiction, I found the University as structure good...I was well impressed when I sow how many facilities offer to the students:librarys,computers,weblearn,socialevents,gym.....and what kind of services as weel.It seems like there is a departement for any area willing to help the student.
I really think that this presessional english course will boost my confidence in the english language and will prepare me to pursue a degree course.

Today we looked how to stating common beliefs on different subject.
My examples are:
-The dangers of the internet are grater than the benefit it brings.To what extent do you agree with this statement?
Many people say that the invention of the internet has brought to the society many advantages but also a very negative impact to the people.
There are various conflicting view about the effect of it,in this essay I will esaminate the negative point of view and I will put forward the benefit that tecnologycal progress has gived to our society.

-Univesity education should be free for all.To what extent do you agree with this statement?
It is widely believed that higher education is foundamental for the progress and knowledge of our society ,therefore ,the majority argu that University should be open to everyone without fee payment.
In this essay I will look at and weigh up the importance of higher education and I will analyse this idea.
